About the Course

Familiar with MS Project and looking to strengthen your skills? MS Project 2: Diving into MS Project is a 4-hour workshop designed to help you move beyond the basics and gain more confidence and control in your scheduling work.

Through demonstrations, sample project activities, and group discussions, you’ll learn how to apply best practices, minimize project risks, and assess project status using MS Project’s reporting tools. Ideal for those who use MS Project but want to take their scheduling knowledge to the next level.

Workshop Outcomes:

  • Review of basic scheduling terminology
  • Create and update a sample project in MS Project
  • Apply best practices for schedule development

Who should attend: Project managers, assistant project managers, owners, executives, anyone who uses MS Project but not a pro.

**Participants must have access to either the desktop or web version of the MS Project software before the class starts.

Technology and Participation
For the classroom:
– Please have Zoom downloaded.
– Computer with dual monitor preferred.
– Laptop is good with a separate tablet to access the materials.

*Participation in this workshop is for one person per registration.


For participation:
– Camera, built in or added on and ready to stream to the classroom.
– Headphones or earbuds with microphones are preferred.
– Each student should be on their own computer/laptop/tablet.
– **Ensure that MS Project software is installed, up-to-date, and/or logged in on the web.


Cancellation Policy:
A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to meetings[@]agc.org.

AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.

Meet Your Facilitator:

Daphene Koch | PhD 
Owner, Build Your Know LLC 

Daphene is passionate about developing workforce in the construction industry by increasing individual expertise. Daphene has been teaching AGC courses since 2000. She brings over 20 years of construction industry experience on commercial and industrial projects. While a professor at Purdue University in the School of Construction Management, she partnered with contractors for research in the development, facilitation and assessment of training. She currently teaches virtual, hybrid and in seat courses in Project Management, Field Supervision and Construction technical areas.
